Amazon Affiliate Disclosure

These rules are designed to ensure that readers or viewers of web media (blogs, YouTube videos, etc.) know whether the blogger/presenter is sponsored, approved, or enters into a partnership with another company. In blog terms, readers need to know if the blogger is making money by sharing a link or product.

What are affiliate links?

Purchases are made on external partner websites: when a reader clicks on an affiliate link on recumbentguide.com to purchase an item, the reader purchases the item directly from the seller (not from recumbentguide.com ). Amazon and/or other companies pay recumbentguide.com a small commission or another fee for promoting their website or products through their partner program.

The prices are exactly the same for you if your purchase goes through an affiliated or unaffiliated link. You no longer pay by clicking on the link.

I use one type of partner program:

Amazon Affiliate Links

recumbentguide.com participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide sites with a means to earn advertising costs by advertising and linking to Amazon properties including, but not limited to, amazon.com. Amazon offers a small commission on products sold through their affiliate links.

If a blogger link to an Amazon product (with a special code for partners embedded in the link) and a reader places an article in his “shopping cart” via that link within 24 hours of clicking the link, the blogger a small percentage of sales. Amazon links are not “pay per click”. If you click on the product link and stay around Amazon and buy something else, I get a commission on that sale.

Whenever you see a link that looks like amazon.com … it can be assumed that it is a linked Amazon link.
